Whats so great about Belenus btw? I send him really early (as soon as i get him actually). This dungeon is a test of patience and i fail every time. My strategy here is too make him run after me and jump over him at the end, then make him run some more and jump again.but its not perfect an inch of feet touches him and poof, iam gone in some place and i take damage (i still dont know how and why). I get to the guard that needs too be put asleep easy but i cant seem too make him stop running after me. Plus his PWS alows me too do another PWS and helps getting the Gold Aura PWS for my mage (Wand of Apocalypse WOOT!!!) and that is what we all want.Ībout Gandar, its the only character i never get because iam not patient enough too do his dungeon. You know, i think i will try to make a game with all the character that i do not use and try finding new things about them.Ībout Lawfer, i used him since i got him until i got Grey. I like some character PWS that actualy allows me too do another PWS with another character and so on. Any game that does something in between loses some respect from me. In general, I'd either like mostly obvious boss points and saves right before each one, or few saves and completely surprising boss encounters. Obviously you need to design the rest of the game so this works (can't be the only time you need to backtrack out for example). Then when the player backtracks out of the dungeon, they totally don't see it coming heh. The best place to put a boss I've seen, is you have a save point on the way in, maybe halfway or the start of a new section. Notice that there is always a save point right before you fight a boss.Īctually I forgot to mention that in the last post, because that's one of those things that's beautiful in hindsight. And in Radiata Stories, I'm doing postgame with 3 goblins (everyone says they suck. Like in SO3, I did a 4D where I focused entirely on attack decision and added effects that happen per hit, ignoring the normally used Berserk. I dunno what else you've played by tri-Ace, but one reason I love them so much is because you can do higher metalevel stuff like what I was saying, which you can't with most all other games. Someone like Lawfer becomes not so good post game because there aren't any good spears, but then you can get Freya and Brahms if you want anyway. If you like the setup you currently have, I would swap Lawfer for Grey and Belenus for Arngrim if you want the "best" main game characters. Something I did on my Easy play was to use 4 female characters, and give them all Earring of Healing. Another idea is to make a party with all low PWS CT's, and use Fairy Ring. Most people use at least 1 fighter, 1 archer (can be Lenneth), 1 mage, but I am actually a fan of 3 mages (like Mystina, Lyseria, Gandar) with Mental Reaction. Belenus is a bit better for a swordsman, and other fighters such as Lawfer (Josh's favorite guy maybe) are better.īasically who you want to use comes down to what kind of meta-strategy you want. His PWS CT is really bad though, so I don't like him. Mystina is good (mages are pretty much the same, but if you want to be particular, she has the 3rd best stats behind Gandar and Lyseria. For example, sorry but Grey is pretty much considered godawful (while most people wrongfully think Llewelyn is the worst, I think Grey is the worst character in the game, with the weakest PWS btw). There really isn't an "ideal" party, but some characters are better than others. Misty has the best magic overall the other ones that i had before and Valkyrie, well you cant play without Valkyrie in your party. Grey has a pretty damn strong finish i think, Arngrim's finish is good as well. Atm i have Valkyrie, Mistyna, Grey and Arngrim.
